If you've just registered a PVT. LTD., LLP, OPC, or Partnership Firm, you typically need three stamps to handle day-to-day paperwork before and after your bank account is opened:
1. DIRECTOR / DESIGNATED PARTNER / PARTNER Stamp
Used for signing official documents on behalf of the Company — board resolutions, agreements, and letters.
2. Authorised Signatory Stamp
Used for approvals, invoices, and day-to-day correspondence where a designated signatory needs to act on the Company's behalf.
3. Round Company Seal Stamp
Used for general official use — the closest equivalent to the old Common Seal, without the legal requirement.
Do the stamps differ by Company type?
The set is the same across PVT. LTD., OPC, LLP, and Partnership Firms — only the wording changes (e.g. "Partner" instead of "Director" for a Partnership Firm, "Designated Partner" for an LLP). Stamp size is usually set based on how long your Company or firm name is.
When should I order them?
Right after registration and before opening your Company's bank account — most banks expect a Company stamp on account-opening documents.
